February 28th

It was on February 28th, 2007, that I saw Van Morrison play his first ever show here in Edmonton at Rexall Place. 

February 26th

 It was on February 26th, 2000 that I saw Sloan on their Between The Bridges Tour at the Golden Garter in Edmonton. Opening the show was Danko Jones who actually stole the show.

I met Danko after his opening set and bough his CD and got his autograph.

February 25th

 

On February 25th, 2007 I saw Sydney, Australia band Wolfmother rock the Edmonton Event Centre at West Edmonton Mall. Shitty venue, good shows! I can't remember what band opened this show.

February 24th

 

This show on February 24th, 1990 is still one of the top ten shows  have ever been to. L.A. Guns with local bands Killing Time and Mary Prankster at The Metro in Edmonton. Holy shit between the booze, weed, hash, mushrooms, acid and blow going around at this show it's a wonder any of us remember it. L.A. Guns were touring for their sophomore album Locked & Loaded which was a great follow up to their debut album. The afternoon of this show the band L.A. Guns did an autograph session at HMV in West Edmonton Mall in which myself a few buddies attended. Got my album autographed and met the guys. This was one hell of a day and night. Good times!!!

February 23rd

It was on February 23rd, 2013 that I got to see the Mickey Hart Band play Festival Place in Sherwood Park. Of course Mickey was the drummer of the Grateful Dead. I finally got to see a member of the Grateful Dead in concert.

February 22nd

 

It was February 22nd, 2009 that I got talked into going to the David Byrne concert at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton. At the time I didn't know too much about the Talking Heads, so wouldn't consider myself a big fan. David Byrne was touring for his album (Everything That Happens Will Happen Today) that he did with Brian Eno. Well, after seeing this show, I have been a big fan since. Great concert!

February 21st

 

It was February 21st, 1991 that I saw Blue Oyster Cult play at the Beverly Crest here in Edmonton. Opening the show was Canadian rockers Harlequin. Seeing BOC play the Beverly Crest was very odd. But it was a great show.

February 20th

 

It was February 20th, 1988 that I had front row seats for the double bill of Alice Cooper headlining with Motorhead opening at Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton.

 Alice was touring for his Raise Your Fist And Yell album and Motorhead would have been on the road promoting their album Rock N' Roll album.

February 18th

On February 18th, 2015 I saw the Toronto band Elliott Brood in concert at the Starlite Room in Edmonton. Elliott Brood were touring for their Work and Love album. Opening the show was another Toronto band called The Wilderness of Manitoba.

February 16th

 

On February 16th, 2001 I saw American blues guitarist, singer/songwriter Elvin Bishop rock the Myer Horowitz Theatre in Edmonton.

February 15th

So it was back on February 15th, 1994 that I saw the legend B.B. King in concert at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton. Opening the show was Alberta's Triple Threat the band that consisted of Tim Williams, Johnny V and Rusty Reed. Great opener!

February 14th

  

It was February 14th, 1993 Valentine's Day that I saw Megadeth on their Countdown To Extinction Tour play the Edmonton Convention Centre. The only bummer about this show was Stone Temple Pilots canceling.
