  On March 2nd, 2002 I saw Lisa Otey a jazz/blues piano player and singer from Arizona play the Yardbird Suite here in Edmonton. This was a great show, Lisa was very entertaining, and I remember after the show she stood at the door and hugged every single audience member.

It was twelve years ago today that I saw Steve Earle play at Edmonton at the Winspear Centre.





As well it was eleven years ago today that I saw Lisa Otey play at the Yardbird Suite here in Edmonton.

Ticket Stub Of The Day July 11th (Lisa Otey)

Today's ticket stub is from the time Lorreine and I went and saw Lisa Otey play at the Yardbird Suite in Edmonton in 2002. Lisa Otey is a piano player from Tuscon Arizona who plays a boogie woogie style of blues and is a beautiful singer as well. I had never heard of her til I went to see her. She put on an amazing show in a very cool venue.

At the end of her show, Lisa stood at the exit door and hugged every single person on the way out, as an appreciation for coming to the show. Never seen that before. Good times!!!
