20 Years Ago Today...August 13th

It was twenty years ago today that I went to the three day long Highwood Festival. This festival was a fiasco and ended up being held just outside of Edmonton, lots of the bands cancelled, but the ones that did show, were awesome. Bands like Social Distortion, Skankin Pickle, Monster Voodoo Machine, The Muffs and many more, all MC'd by Tommy Chong.

Also on this day seventeen years ago, I saw Sass Jordan play the Thunderdome here in Edmonton.

21 Years Ago Today...Mar.11th

It was twenty-one years ago today that I saw comedian Tommy Chong perform at a comedy club here in Edmonton called Yuk Yuk's. A fuckin' hilarious show and good time.





It was also two years ago todat that I saw the Drive-By Truckers play in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom.

Ticket Stub Of The Day Jan.22nd (Tommy Chong)

Today's ticket stub is from the first time I saw Tommy Chong of Cheech and Chong fame do his stand up comedy set. This show was in 1992 at Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club in Edmonton. I went to this show with Sherry. It was a great show with a lot of laughs, before the show there were more then a few people outside burning some doobies. Good times!!!





In concert news... Cheech and Chong will be coming through Edmonton again on Saturday February 5th on their Get It Legal Tour! at The Venue on The River Cree Resort and Casino. This is their third or fourth time playing Edmonton in the past 2 years.
