A walk down memory lane with Less Than Jake when I saw them play the Old Scona Barns here in Edmonton on March 9th, 1999. Opening the show were All, Good Riddance and Limp.

March 8th
My concert memory from March 8th, 1991. I saw Iron Maiden with opening act Anthrax play Northlands Agricom in Edmonton. Having row 2 for this show was super cool, and by being that close I caught a guitar pick from Scott "Not" Ian of Anthrax.

March 2nd
March 2nd, 2016 saw me at Rexall Place in Edmonton catching, what was Black Sabbath's final tour. Sadly Bill Ward the original drummer for Black Sabbath wasn't in the lineup. Still, this was a great show, especially having row 2 on the floor for this one. Opening the show was Rival Sons.

Lee Aaron Live in Edmonton Feb.22nd 2025
Last Saturday my buddy Nazz and I went to see Canada's legendary, iconic, original Metal Queen Lee Aaron play the Century Casino here in Edmonton. I had only seen Lee Aaron once before in concert and that was back in 1990. She would have been touring for her album Bodyrock back then. So I was excited see her play for the first time in 35 years.
Here is the concert ad for that 1990 show I saw.
And opening that show in 1990 was Holly Wood, who was actually the band Toronto (original band), and wouldn't you know it, this time around it was Toronto again, except it was Toronto : The Legacy which wasn't the original band. I was never a fan of the band Toronto, so not sure if there were any original members this time around, what I do know is that sure wasn't Holly Woods on vocals.
Nazz and I caught some of their set, like I say, I was never really a fan, and this didn't help at all in making me a fan. Their set went on for an hour which was way too long. We ended up going outside for a few smokes during their set.
Toronto: The Legacy (whatever).
After an hour of that and a few beers, we were ready to see Lee Aaron rock the venue. And we were not disappointed. The show was sold out, an older crowd and ready to rock out with the Metal Queen. Now I'm not all that familiar with any of her music from her 1990 album Bodyrock on, but she has still been releasing albums on a steady basis. Though I didn't know a lot of the songs, she can still belt it out at 62 years old, and, she still looks absolutely amazing. What teenage boy in the 80's didn't have the hots for her? Her back up band were damn good as well, which were Sean Kelly on guitar, Dave Reimer on bass, and Lee Aaron's husband John Cody on drums.
Some of the songs I did recognize that she played were "Hot To Be Rocked" from her 1985, Call Of The Wild album. As well as "Hands On", a couple songs from her 1991 album Some Girls Do, playing the title song and "Sex With Love". And of course she had to play "Metal Queen" from the album by the same title and another from that album called "Lady Of The Darkest Night". And what's a Lee Aaron show without hearing "Whatcha Do To My Body", this song was huge for her in the late 80's.
Here is video footage my buddy Nazz took of her performing "Whatcha Do To My Body".
This was a super fun show and a great night out seeing Lee Aaron in concert after so many years. Lee has aged amazingly well. And after the show Lee Aaron came out and signed autographs, took pictures and had conversations with her fans that were still hanging out. So ya, I got to meet her, which was super cool. A very nice lady that took the time for a picture, signed my album and talked to me. I got to personally thank her for putting me on the guest list for this show. So if you do happen to see this Lee. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Good times!!!
