Jr. Gone Wild Live in Edmonton November 20th 2021

Another show I got to see in 2021 was the triple bill of Jr.Gone Wild, Forbidden Dimension and Boots Graham at the Starlite Room. I went to this show with my buddy Buzzard and Cuz. Opening the show was Boots Graham. Boots I believe hails from Red Deer, Alberta. This was my first time seeing him play live. He plays an old school honk tonk country style of music. His half hour set was pretty damn good. Boots Graham.
Next up was Calgary's three piece band Forbidden Dimension. This horror rock band has been around since 1988, yet I had never seen them play live before. I've seen the name of the band and posters for their shows around for years but just never got out to see them before. Which is a shame, because they were really good in a live setting. Forbidden Dimension.
Healining the evening was Edmonton's cowpunkers Jr.Gone Wild. This would be my 13th time seeing the band in concert. The nights show was billed as their album release party, having just released their first album in 26 years, and their first album with new drummer Quinton Herbert, who wasn't even born when their last album Simple Little Wish was released. Quinton took over drums after the passing of Larry Shelast. Jr.Gone Wild put on a great show and it felt like Quinton added a little kick to the bands live performance. There was a great turn-out for the show and as always the band kicked ass. Of course JGW played lots of new materil from the new album Still Got The Jacket. An album that is great from start to finish. A very fun night of music. Good times!!! Jr. Gone Wild.
