19 Years Ago Today...April 17th

It was nineteen years ago today that I saw Wild T and The Spirit play at Peoples Pub here in Edmonton.



As well it was three years ago today that I saw Grady perform at the Starlite Room here in Edmonton.





In concert news...Wild T and The Spirit will be playing at Blues On Whyte the weekend of July 18th.19th and 20th.

2 Years Ago Today...April 16th

It was two years ago today that I saw John Mellencamp play back to back in Edmonton at the Jubilee Auditorium having seen him the night before as well.



Also on this day two years ago I saw local band Whitey Houston with Vancouver band Vicious Cycles play at Permanent Records here in Edmonton as part of the Record Store Day celebration. Don't forget that this Saturday April 20th is Record Store Day again, get out and support your local record store.

22 Years Ago Today...April 15th

It looks like April 15th has been a good day for concerts for me. Starting with, it was twenty-two years ago today that I saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse play at Northlands Coliseum here in Edmonton with opening bands Sonic Youth and Drivin' N Cryin', a few freinds and I had such a good time in Calgary at the show we went to the Edmonton show too.





Also it was twelve years ago today that I saw Johnny Winter play here in Edmonton at a short lived bar called the R&B Club. This was probably one of the worst show I have ever been too. I honestly thought Johnny was going to die that night on stage. He was not in good shape at all.



As well, it was ten years ago today that I saw Rocket From The Crypt play here in Edmonton at New City with opening band The Bronx.





And finally, it was two years ago today that I saw John Mellencamp play at the Jubilee Auditorium here in Edmonton.

23 Years Ago Today...April 14th

It was twenty-three years ago today that I saw the Canadian Metal Queen Lee Aaron play Edmonton at the Edmonton Convention Centre.

22 Years Ago Today...April 13th

It was twenty-two years ago today that I saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse play in Calgary at the Saddledome, opening bands at this show were Sonic Youth and Drivin' N' Cryin'.



As well it was eighteen years ago today that I saw a band from Toronto called Glueleg play at Peoples Pub here in Edmonton.

16 Years Ago Today...April 12th

It was sixteen years ago today that I saw the ska double bill of locals Mad Bomber Society with Fresno, California band Let's Go Bowling play the Rebar here in Edmonton.

11 Years Ago Today...April 11th

It was eleven years ago today that I saw Big Sugar play at a place called The Joint that used to be in West Edmonton Mall.





Also on this day eight years ago today I saw Queens Of The Stone Age play at Red's here in Edmonton.
