Concert Shirt/Poster Of The Day July 9th (Yesterday Was Everything Fest.)

Today's t-shirt is from the Yesterday Was Everything Festival that was held in Edmonton in 2005 in honour of two members (RIP Jordan Wodehouse and Daniel Langlois) of the Edmonton hardcore band Compromise who were killed in a van accident in the States in 2002.

The 2005 Festival was held over two days with a no minors show at the Starlite Room and an all ages show at Red's in West Edmonton Mall. I went to the no minors show on Canada Day at the Starlite Room. The bands on the bill for this night were E-Town Beatdown, Shout Out Out Out Out, Time Is The Enemy, Eighteen Visions and headliner Misery Signals.

Something I will never forget about this show, was when Misery Signals (led by Jesse Zaraska whom was the lead singer in Compromise), did the song "The Year Summer Ended In June" a tribute song to the two members of his old band. Looking around at the crowd during this song and seeing people with tears in there eyes and crying, a very touching song. You couldn't help but tear up yourself.

A great day of music and also a great tribute to Jordan and Daniel.
