Concert Poster Of The Day Oct.18th (Savoy Brown)

Today's poster is from the Savoy Brown concert Hurl and I went to in 1994 at The City Media Club here in Edmonton. This was a great show by a great English blues guitar player (Kim Simmonds) in an intimate venue. This was a club that was in a basement on 99 street under the old IGA grocery store.

  1. Oh boy do I remember that tour.. He played at Steamers pub in Victoria Canada, the week after we (The Catch) had just finished there..he really is one of the few UK blues boom guitarists that simply got better and better every time I saw him.. I remember seeing them five years earlier in Victoria also, when Dave was back with them and Kim pulled out all his funky guitars.. I was 2 feet from him, sitting on the right hand PA bin.. and I was a hoopin and a hollerin through the whole thing.... He played fantastic.. Admittedly, I had a way better seat than most people ever get.. but having also been diehard fan since 1970, I didn't feel too guilty ;-)
    Cheers from Doc
