July 15th

This was an awesome time. July 15th, 1995 myself a van full of buddies made our way to High River, Alberta for the traveling Tragically Hip tour called Another Roadside Attraction. And what a line-up, headlining was The Hip of course, others on the bill were Ziggy Marley, Spirit Of the West, Blues Traveler, Matthew Sweet, Rheostatics, Eric's Trip and The Inbreds. Good times!!!

Also on this day a year ago, I saw Edmonton band The Slates play in Corner Brook, Newfoundland at a bar called the White Horse Lounge.

Concert Poster Of The Day Sept. 7th (Another Roadside Attraction)

Today's poster is from the traveling tour that the Tragically Hip use to put on in the 90's. It was called "Another Roadside Attraction" and was usually a really good line up. The show in 1997 that myself and a bunch of friends went to in Camrose,Alberta was one of the best line ups I saw for ARA. Have a look at the poster and what the line up was. Wilco,The Hip,Change Of Heart and Los Lobos all on the same bill, wow, how could you not have a good time. This was also the first time I saw Wilco in concert and have been a huge fan since.

Checkout the price of the ticket for this show. You couldn't see one of these bands for that price nowadays.
