 On September 8th, 2008 I saw this excellent punk rock triple bill of Rancid headlining with openers D.O.A. and Wednesday Night Heroes play the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.

It was eighteen years ago today that I saw Rancid play the Dinwoodie Lounge here in Edmonton.

5 Years Ago Today...September 8th

It was five years ago today that I saw Rancid with DOA play the Shaw Convention Centre here in Edmonton.

Also on this day three years ago, I saw Gaslight Anthem with Menzingers and Fake Problems play at the Edmonton Events Centre in Edmonton.

12 Years Ago Today...July 5th

It was twelve years ago today that I made the trip to Calgary for the Vans Warped Tour. Some of the bands I went to see were Rancid, Pennywise, Bouncing Souls among many others.

Also on this day, ten years ago,I was in Ottawa to see the Ottawa Blues Fest, in which I got to see Elvis Costello perform.

In concert news...Rancid will be playing in Edmonton with opening act the Transplants at the Shaw Conference Centre on Tuesday July 16th.

Concert Shirt/Poster Of The Day May 25th (Rancid)

Today's t-shirt is from the third time I saw Rancid in concert. This show was in 2008at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. Opening bands for the show were local punk rockers Wednesday Night Heroes and D.O.A. I missed Wednesday Night Heroes, but did see D.O.A. finally, I enjoyed their set and Rancid was excellent, always like seeing them play. I went to this show with my friend A-Bomb. Good times!!!

In concert news... Rancid will be playing in Edmonton at Rexall Place on Saturday August 27th with headliner Blink 182 and Against Me!

Ticket Stub Of The Day Feb.21st (Rancid)

Today's ticket stub is from the first time I saw Rancid in concert. Rancid were touring for their '...And Out Come The Wolves', the show was at Dinwoodie Lounge on the U of A Campus in Edmonton in 1995. Opening band for this show was a band called Seaweed from Tacoma, Washington. This was a great punk rock show in a great venue, hot, sweaty and very loud, good times!!!
