April 15th

 

 On April 15th, 1991 I saw Neil Young & Crazy Horse on their Ragged Glory Tour play Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton. Opening the show were Sonic Youth and Drivin' N' Cryin'. An amazing triple!

April 13th

 

 On April 13th, 1991 myself and a carload of buddies made the trip to Calgary to see the awesome triple bill of Neil Young & Crazy Horse with opening bands Sonic Youth and Drivin' N' Cryin' play the Olympic Saddledome in Calgary. Neil Young was on the road promoting his Ragged Glory album, which is in my opinion one of his greatest albums. Good times!!!

22 Years Ago Today...April 15th

It looks like April 15th has been a good day for concerts for me. Starting with, it was twenty-two years ago today that I saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse play at Northlands Coliseum here in Edmonton with opening bands Sonic Youth and Drivin' N Cryin', a few freinds and I had such a good time in Calgary at the show we went to the Edmonton show too.





Also it was twelve years ago today that I saw Johnny Winter play here in Edmonton at a short lived bar called the R&B Club. This was probably one of the worst show I have ever been too. I honestly thought Johnny was going to die that night on stage. He was not in good shape at all.



As well, it was ten years ago today that I saw Rocket From The Crypt play here in Edmonton at New City with opening band The Bronx.





And finally, it was two years ago today that I saw John Mellencamp play at the Jubilee Auditorium here in Edmonton.

22 Years Ago Today...April 13th

It was twenty-two years ago today that I saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse play in Calgary at the Saddledome, opening bands at this show were Sonic Youth and Drivin' N' Cryin'.



As well it was eighteen years ago today that I saw a band from Toronto called Glueleg play at Peoples Pub here in Edmonton.

Concert Shirt/Poster Of The Day July 6th (Neil Young)

Today's t-shirt is from the time I saw Neil Young on his Ragged Glory tour in 1991, myself and bunch of friends went to the Calgary show and then myself Eor,Nerraw, and others, damn I forgot who all went to this show with me, checked out the Edmonton show as well. Neil was touring with Sonic Youth and Drivin' N' Cryin' as openers, what an awesome triple bill that was.

This t-shirt, I have always considered probably my most favorite tour shirt I have ever had. And I did wear this shirt right to it's ragged glory, hard to tell from these pictures, but I wore it with holes,stains and roach burns in it. I finally had to retire it after you could see right through it. Ragged Glory the album has always been one of my favorite Neil Young albums too.
