January 14th

The concert ad for the time I saw the Canadian comedy duo MacLean & MacLean at Peoples Pub in Edmonton on January 14th, 1992. These brothers Gary and Blair were absolutely fuckin' hilarious.

21 Years Ago Today...Jan.14th

It was twenty-one years ago today that I saw Canadian comedy team MacLean and MacLean perform at Peoples Pub in Edmonton. Sadly both men have since passed, but if you can find their albums they are well worth picking up.

It was seven years ago today as well that I saw the Tragically Hip play in Edmonton with opening act Toronto band The Sadies.

It was 19 years ago today as well that I saw this show that my brother Captain Citrus put on at a club called Multi-Purpose Rumpus Room here in Edmonton. The show was made up of bands from Calgary and Edmonton. The headliners were Calgary band Field Day with locals Pal Joey, Furnace Maintenance and All Woman Brothers Band.

In concert news... The Tragically Hip with openers The Arkells will be playing in Edmonton next week Wednesday January 23rd.

Concert Ad Of The Day Sept.19th (MacLean and MacLean)

Today's concert advertisement is from the second time I saw the comedy duo of MacLean and MacLean perform. This show was in 1994 at the Beverly Crest in a bar called Cheers in Edmonton. This show was even raunchier then the first time I saw them. These guys were fucking hilarious, unfortunately neither Gary or Blair are around anymore with Gary passing away in December of 2001 and Blair passing away in October of 2008.

Concert Ad Of The Day July 10th (MacLean and MacLean)

Today's concert advertisement is from the time I saw the comedy duo of MacLean & MacLean perform at Peoples Pub in 1992. MacLean & MacLean were brothers Gary and Blair from Glace Bay , Nova Scotia who had the raunchiest comedy routine I have ever seen. These guys were fucking hilarious, if you couldn't laugh with these guys, you had no sense of humour. They mixed up their act with routines and music performances. Always a good time when you saw them. Both brothers have since passed, which is a shame, cause I sure would have enjoyed seeing them again.
