October 31st

 

It was on this day  October 31st, 2005 that I saw The Sadies for the first time. Not only were they the opening act but also the back up band for Jon Spencer and Matt Verta-Ray who were touring under the name Heavy Trash. The show was at the Sidetrack Cafe in Edmonton. Such an amazing show this was.

October 28th

November 13th

  It was on November 13th, 2012 that I made the trip to Calgary to see the awesome triple bill of Neil Young & Crazy Horse with openers the Los Lobos and The Sadies play the Soctiaback Saddledome. What a great show!

October 19th

 

 On this day October 19th, 2013 I saw The Sadies play the Arden Theatre in St. Albert. Always a good show with The Sadies.

May 27th

 No ticket stub for this show, but do have to poster for The Sadies with The Pack A.D. opening at the Starlite Room in Edmonton on May 27th, 2010. The Sadies were touring for their just released album Darker Circles.

January 14th

 

 January 14th, 2007 saw me at Rexall Place in Edmonton to see The Tragically Hip on their World Container Tour. Opening the show was The Sadies. A very good double bill.

October 19th

 

On October 19th, 2007 I saw The Sadies play the Starlite Room in Edmonton.

January 16th

It was January 16th 2007 that I saw the Tragically Hip with The Sadies open play in Red Deer, Alberta at the Enmax Centrium.

The Sadies Live in Edmonton July 27th 2023

 

Another show my buddy Buzzard and I saw at Taste Of Edmonton was The Sadies. This would be my 15th time seeing the band in concert. And my second time seeing them perform without Dallas Good whom passed away in February 2022.

The Sadies put on a great show to a good crowd at Sir Winston Churchill Park. I really enjoyed their set but found myself really missing Dallas this time around. I miss the two guitar sound in the band. Travis does an awesome job of making up for the missing Dallas, but it's just not the same. The bands 75 minute set was made up of lots of songs from their latest release Colder Streams. All and all a great show and I will continue to follow this band and see them as often as possible. Good times!!!

The Sadies Live in Edmonton October 22nd 2022

My buddy Buzzard and I went to see The Sadies play a sold out show at the local venue here called SOHO. This was my first show at this venue, have to say it is a pretty cool venue. This would be my 14th time seeing The Sadies in concert. This show was the first of three sold out shows in Edmonton. The other two night were at the Blackdog. What made this show different then every other time I had seen The Sadies live was that Dallas Good is no longer around having passed away in February 2022 at the age of 48. Luckily the band had recorded a new album Colder Streams before the sudden passing of Dallas. And what a great album it is. It was some weird to see The Sadies without him, but holy shit were they ever good. Brother Travis Good has really taken control of the band and did an amazing job. They are still one of my favourite live bands to see. Kacy Anderson of the folk duo Kacy & Clayton sat in with The Sadies for about half the show and she was awesome. Kacy has an amazing voice and added a cool element to the songs. Very impressive. The Sadies.

Opening the show was supposed to be Kacy & Clayton but apparently Clayton had another gig to play so it was kacy Anderson and her band which for the life of me I can not remember the name. Nonetheless, Kacy and her back up band were great as well. Again Kacy just has an amzing voice and stage presence and, she has such a cute smile. I had never seen her perform before but will be sure to catch her the next time she comes through town. A very good night of music, really with I had bought tickets for there other two shows on this weekend. Kacy Anderson and band.
