 It was on July 10th, 1993 that I saw Nazareth on their No Jive Tour play the Convention Centre in Edmonton.

May 7th

  

 It was way back on May 7th, 1988 that I saw Nazareth in concert for the first time. This show was at the Edmonton Convention Centre. A great memory about this show was going with a good friend of mine who hadn't turned 18 yet, legal drinking age here in Alberta. His birthday was on May 13th so we doctored his ID to read May 3rd. And it worked! Good times!!!

Nazareth Tour Program

Today's tour program is from the Nazareth concert I saw in 1988 at The Edmonton Convention Centre. Nazareth was on their 20th Anniversary Tour with all original members. It was an awesome show and a good time was had by all. The tour program I bought at the show is a rather cheap production, with only the front cover and back cover in colour and containing only 14 pages all non-glossy. Also the program only measures 8 1/4" X 11 3/4" in size. Each member tells a story about being in the band and what it has been like over the past 20 years. Looking back at it now, it's actually a damn cool program. Front Cover. Back Cover. In concert news...Nazareth will be playing in Edmonton this summer at The River Cree Casino on Saturday July 28th. Hard to believe they are still at it, not sure who is still in the band other then lead singer Dan McCafferty.

20 Years Ago Today...July 10th

It was twenty years ago today that I saw Nazareth play here in Edmonton at the Convention Centre.

Also on this day, two years ago I saw, what they used to have in the summer here for a few years, the Sounds Of Old Strathcona Festival. This was an all day outdoor fest they held on Whyte Avenue here. Sadly this festival was short lived.

In concert news...Nazareth will be playing in Edmonton three times in the next month at the Century Casino, the dates are Friday July 12th, Thursday the 25th and Friday the 26th.

25 Years Ago Today...May 7th

It was twenty-five years ago today that I saw Nazareth play the Convention Centre here in Edmonton.





Also on this day twenty-two years ago today I saw Dread Zeppelin play at The Bronx here in Edmonton.

Ticket Stub Of The Day Apr.12th (Nazareth)

Today's ticket stub is from the second time I saw Nazareth in concert. This show was at The Edmonton Convention Centre in 1993. I don't recall who I went to this show with, I do remember it being a great show though.

Concert Shirt Of The Day Nov.9th (Classic Rock Weekend)

Today's t-shirt is from the Classic Rock Weekend Festival held in High River,Alberta back in 1997. It was the first annual festival, well that didn't last long,cause they never did have another one. I went to this show with Hurl, his wife and Geddy. Hurl actually won 4 tickets to the festival through the Bear radio station. He won them Friday afternoon, so this came up out of the blue. He dropped by my place and said,we were going, so off we went.

The festival ended up being a huge disappointment, with Ratt, Fist, Kansas and Survivor cancelling, although Fist would have been the only band I would like to have seen out of that bunch. BTO played but without Randy Bachman, how can you be BTO without Randy Bachman, I don't understand. The only bands I really recall seeing were George Thorogood and Nazareth. Sadly we had to leave Sunday morning, which meant I didn't get to see Deep Purple, whom were the main band I would love to have seen at this fest. Hurl was driving, so I had no choice but to leave with him. Damn you Hurl,lol.

All and all we had a pretty good time, lots of drinking and carrying on.

Concert Shirt Of The Day Apr.14th (Nazareth)

Concert shirt of the day today is from 1988 when I saw Nazareth play The Convention Centre on their 20th anniversary tour, which was an awesome show too by the way. The only problem I have with this t-shirt is that doesn't include the Edmonton date on the back of it.
