  My ticket stub and flyer from the Annihilator show I saw on December 7th, 1990 at the old Ambassador in Edmonton. A great show in a small venue. Wish I could remember who the opening band was.

October 17th

  Saw this incredible double bill of Testament and Annihilator on this date October 17th, 1989 n Edmonton at M.J.'s Roadhouse in Edmonton. Both these bands were touring for that I think are their best albums. Great show!

23 Years Ago Today...December 7th

It was twenty-three years ago today that I saw the band Annihilator play the Ambo here in Edmonton.

And it was twenty-two years ago today that I saw George Thorogood play the Agricom in Edmonton.

Looks like December 7th has been a great day for shows here in Edmonton. As it was nine years ago today that I saw James Brown play the Shaw Conference Centre here.

And it was seven years ago today that I saw Guns N' Roses play Rexall Place with openers Sebastian Bach from Skid Row and Helmet.

As well it was five years ago today that I saw Metallica with The Sword play Rexall Place in Edmonton.

24 Years Ago Today...October 17th

It was twenty-four years ago today that I saw Testament with opener Annihilator play MJ's Roadhouse Pub play in Edmonton.

Also on this day twenty-two years ago I saw Queensryche with Warrior Soul play Northlands Coliseum here in Edmonton.

And it was fourteen years ago today that I saw Weird Al Yankovic play the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.

As well it was twelve years ago today that I saw the Supersuckers play New City Likwid Lounge here in Edmonton.

Looks like this has been an awesome day for shows here in Edmonton, as it was eight years ago today that I saw Tesla play Red's here.

20 Years Ago Today...August 31st

It was twenty years ago today that I saw Annihilator play at Peoples Pub in Edmonton.

And it was 17 years ago today that I saw the Sex Pistols play in Vancouver at the Pacific Coliseum.

Also on this day twelve years ago, I saw the Black Crowes play Vancouver at the Orpheum Theatre.

Stats for the month of August...
I have been to shows 27 out of 31 days in the month of August.
And have seen 56 different shows out of them 27 days.

Ticket Stub Of The Day Jan.16th (Annihilator)

Today's ticket stub is from the Annihilator concert I saw in 1990 at the old Ambassador Hotel (The Ambo as it was better known). Annihilator were touring for their second album 'Never,Neverland'. This was a Canadian metal band lead by Jeff Waters, they never really did get any recognition here but seem to be big in Europe and still tour in Europe all the time. I went to this show with Nerraw and I think Eor. Also don't remember who the opening band was. The Ambo was a great venue to see a show,the venue was in a basement of a hotel, in the late 70's it was known as a blues bar, in the 80's it was a punk bar and in the early 90's it hosted a few metal shows. It's no longer a music venue which is too bad.

Ticket Stub Of The Day Nov.4th (Annihilator)

Today's ticket stub is from the time I saw Canadian metal band Annihilator play at Peoples Pub in Edmonton in 1993. They were touring for their Never Neverland album which has the song called Kraf Dinner, a little ode to, well Kraft Dinner. My buddies and I came up with the bright idea of bringing along some boxes of KD for the show and tossing it around when they started the song. Well, what a fucking mess that turned out to be, there must have been about 4-6 boxes of KD all over the place which also made for a dangerous situation with people moshing on the floor, ya, a little slick. Not the brightest bunch we were, but fucking hilarious. After the show, I had the guys from the band autograph a box of KD for me, but have no idea whatever happened to it, shitty.

Concert Shirt Of The Day Sept.23rd (Testament)

Today's t-shirt is from the awesome double bill of Testament and Annihilator at MJ's Roadhouse in Edmonton in 1989. This was an unlikely place to see such a good thrash double bill, and the only show I ever saw at this venue. Testament were touring for what I think is their best album "Practice What You Preach".

My favorite memory of this show other then the music was coming into the venue and seeing my brother there pissed out of his mind, and he was only 16 years old at the time, not only that, but there he was sitting on the stage watching the show.

I'm not sure of all who went to this show other then Nerraw and I, but I am sure there were a few other buddies that came out to this one.
