Concert Poster Of The Day Oct.9th (YWE Festival)

Today's poster is from the fifth annual "Yesterday Was Everything" Festival that was held in Edmonton in 2006 at The Power Plant bar on the University of Alberta grounds. This festival in honour of two members (Jordan Wodehouse and Daniel Langlois) of the local hardcore band Compromise whom were killed in a vehicle accident in 2002.

Some of the bands on this all day concert were headliners Misery Signals, Darkest Hour, The Februarys, and local bands Sleeping Girl, Savannah, Etown Beatdown and many more. A great day of heavy music and an awesome way to honour Jordan and Daniel.

Concert Shirt/Poster Of The Day Aug.22nd (Sleeping Girl)

Today's t-shirt is from the time I saw local rockers Sleeping Girl open for Nova Scotian native, now based in Winnipeg Greg MacPherson at the short lived live music venue in Edmonton called Lyve On Whyte in 2010. I have seen Sleeping Girl quite a few times, they always put on a good show and it was my second time seeing Greg MacPherson in concert. Not a bad show, good venue for a concert, but the bouncers at the show were dicks. It's no wonder the place didn't last long.

Concert Shirt/Poster Of The Day Aug.9th (Sleeping Girl)

Today's t-shirt is a shirt I bought at the Yesterday Was Everything Festival in Edmonton in 2004. I went to the bar show held at the Starlite Room. This festival was held in memory of two members who were killed (Jordan Wodehouse and Daniel Langlois) in an accident while on tour with their band Compromise. Some of the bands that played that years fest were Misery Signals, Bury Your Dead, Fordirelifesake, and a bunch of local bands. The t-shirt I picked up was from locals Sleeping Girl.

This festival was a 2 day event with an all ages show and a bar show held at The Power Plant Bar. I went to both shows. Some of the acts on the bill were Misery Signals, Undying, Fordirelifesake and lots of local bands at the all ages show, Savannah, The Wolfnote, Drive By Punch, Stronger Than Blood, Sleeping Girl and many more.
