April 11th

 April 11th, 2005 saw me at Red's in West Edmonton Mall for the Queens Of The Stone Age concert. Eagles Of Death Metal were supposed to open this show but unfortunately cancelled. Instead it was a band out of California called Throw Rag that opened, who were actually pretty damn good too.

11 Years Ago Today...April 11th

It was eleven years ago today that I saw Big Sugar play at a place called The Joint that used to be in West Edmonton Mall.





Also on this day eight years ago today I saw Queens Of The Stone Age play at Red's here in Edmonton.

Today's t-shirt is from the Queens Of The Stone Age concert I saw in 2005 at Red's in West Edmonton Mall. While I am a fan of QOTSA, another reason I went to this show was for the opening band Eagles Of Death Metal, who unfortunately cancelled, the opening band ended up being a band from California called Throw Rag. They were actually really good too. I'm glad I got to see QOTSA play a smaller venue, they have played here since but in a bigger venue. All and all a good double bill.
