 On August 3rd, 2001 I was in Jasper, Alberta for the Jasper Heritage Folk Festival seeing such acts as the Rheostatics, Eric Bibb, Luther Wright & The Wrongs, Ashley MacIsaac among others.

July 19th

 

  On July 19th, 1997 my self and some buddies made the trip to the Camrose Exhibition Grounds for the Another Roadside Attraction Tour which was put on and headlined by The Tragically Hip. What a day of music this was, with such bands as Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Change Of Heart, Los Lobos, Ashley MacIsaac among others. Good fucking times!!!

Concert Shirt Of The Day Oct.27th (Jasper Folk Fest)

Today's t-shirt is from The Jasper Heritage Folk Festival I attended in 2001 in Jasper,Alberta of course. this festival was held over a two day period,Friday evening and all day Saturday. I went to this by myself and stayed and at a friends (Monique's) as she was working there at the time.

Some of the bands I saw that weekend were fiddler Ashley MacIsaac, The Rheostatics, Luther Wright and The Wrongs, Arrogant Worms and this amazing guitar player from New York by the name of Eric Bibb. He was the highlight of the weekend for me. I had never heard of him til this weekend, but quickly became a big fan of him.

Concert Poster Of The Day Sept. 7th (Another Roadside Attraction)

Today's poster is from the traveling tour that the Tragically Hip use to put on in the 90's. It was called "Another Roadside Attraction" and was usually a really good line up. The show in 1997 that myself and a bunch of friends went to in Camrose,Alberta was one of the best line ups I saw for ARA. Have a look at the poster and what the line up was. Wilco,The Hip,Change Of Heart and Los Lobos all on the same bill,wow, how could you not have a good time. This was also the first time I saw Wilco in concert and have been a huge fan since.

Checkout the price of the ticket for this show. You couldn't see one of these bands for that price nowadays.
